4 to 6 Year Old Tee/Coach Pitch Softball FAQ’S

Q: What if not enough 4 to 6 year old girls register for this division to fill multiple team rosters?

A: Your options are:  1) play in the corresponding age boys' division

                                    2) request to play up in Machine Pitch Softball if league age 6

                                    3) request a refund

Q: Do you keep score and are there umpires?

A: No.  The Tee / Coach Pitch Softball division is structured to teach the very basic fundamentals of softball only. The games are self umpired by the volunteer managers and coaches.

Q: Can I Manage or coach a team?

A: Yes, if positions are available. If you would like to serve as a coach or manager please note that on your child's spring online registration. All manager and coaching positions will be approved by the HLL Board.

Q: Will my child get to play all the time?

A: Yes, all players play defense every inning. Everyone bats each inning.

Q: Can my child play up?

A: If your child is league age 6 and wishes to play up in machine pitch (7-8) you will need to attend skills assessments. Placement will depend on 1) assessed skill level, and 2) numbers needed to complete rosters within each division.

Q: What are the volunteer requirements?

A: HLL is an all volunteer organization so there are many ways to volunteer. Help is always needed with registration, team parenting, assisting with pictures, opening day and fun day activities.
